Today, I have a proven 2-step process you can use to find as much money as you need?
Step 1 – Have An Immigrant’s Attitude
Have you noticed that so many immigrants are doing well financially, often better than people who were born in this country? They look at things very differently than most people do.
Growing up in an immigrant family, I’ll tell you the reason why.
Actually there are two very specific reasons.
You see, when my family got off the boat, we had a few hundred bucks, an apartment that was rented for us, and paid for a few months. Some food, clothes and second hand furniture. That’s it!
Okay, so we didn’t get here on a boat. We flew in a plane, but the rest of it is accurate.
Anyways, my dad knew, that if we were going to eat, he’s going to have to figure out a way to make money.
He spoke some English, but little. So did my grandfather.
They both found jobs making peanuts. Embellishing quite a bit on their resumes. But willing to work hard. Harder than anybody else for a piece of the “American Dream.”
My grandmother, who was an English teacher back in Ukraine, could speak the language, but obviously wasn’t qualified to become a teacher. So at 52 she went to beauty school, to become a cosmetologist.
My dad and my grandfather were both respected engineers back in Ukraine. But they didn’t have any illusions that the streets of America were paved with gold, and that anyone owed them anything.
They knew, that they would have to hustle to make it here. And it didn’t bother them one bit.
I think it rubbed off on me too.
And I’ve watched hundreds of families over the years, who immigrated to US, start with nothing. Often getting minimum wage jobs to earn their first buck. We’re talking people in their 40’s and 50’s. Willing to do anything not just to make a living, but to create a better life. Big difference.
And would it surprise you that without exception, every one of them has achieved a greater level of success than most people who were born here, and had every advantage including speaking English perfectly?
For some of them it took 5 years. Some 10. And others longer. But today, I don’t know a single person from that group back in the late 80s and early 90s who isn’t living a pretty good lifestyle right now, or did until their death.
There’s one thing they all had in common.
Insatiable desire for success.
Doing whatever it takes.
Zig Ziglar called it…
The Immigrant’s Attitude:
“Immigrants in America are four times as likely to become millionaires as those who are born here. This is true regardless of whether these immigrants are from the Orient, South America, Africa or Europe. The reason is simple.
These immigrants give up, in most cases, a great deal to come to America. They face culture shock, language differences, climate changes and often leave friends and
families behind. They do that because they have a dream and the dream has them.”
That’s step 1.
Personally, I think people have gotten lazy and weak mentally.
There was no internet, no iPhones, no email, no social media. It wasn’t all that long ago. And none of that stopped people from moving forward and achieving success.
Step 2 – Understand Where The Money Is
Step 1 is simple. If you’re hungry and have a burning desire to win, you’ll figure out a way to make it.
But step 2 is where most people drop the ball. Because for whatever reason, they don’t teach this simple truth in school – If you want to make money, become a problem solver. People pay for solutions to their problems.
And the more problems you can solve, the bigger pay you can demand.
“Go to school, get good grades, so you can get a degree and land a good job.”
What the hell does that mean?
Now, look, I’m not saying you shouldn’t go to school, or get good grades. I expect my kids to do so.
But I was a heckuva lot more excited when my daughter organized a lemonade stand on a hot day, and got some neighbor kids together to watch the table when she needed to go home.
She told me that way “the business” could work, when she’s not at the table.
She was 8 at the time, and that moment pleases me more than any “A” she could bring home.
Want to make money?
Find a great solution to a problem a lot of people have (and are willing to pay for) and sell it to them.
Here’s a little idea…
Type in “how to” in YouTube, and see what comes up.
Just look at all this stuff people are searching for. So maybe people won’t pay for information on how to “change their YouTube username”. But what about “how to draw”?
Take a look at the search volume according to Google, for the phrase “how to draw”…
But we can do better if we dig a little. Look at this phrase…
That’s 3,600 searches a month for a money phrase. Why is that a “money phrase”? Because the only people who search for “drawing lessons” are those who are actually interested in them. And are probably willing to pay for it.
There are some other things you need to do to validate your idea, but I hope you can see that the possibilities are endless. With a little bit of skull sweat, you can find an idea that could put some money in your pocket. Possibly, a LOT OF IT.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s is a very simple way of looking at it. This is the foundation of how MILLIONS are made.
